📚✨ Big thanks to our amazing PTO for the incredible upgrades to the NCMS Library! Thanks to their generous donation, we now have beautiful new copies of classic books—each displayed on stylish book easels. Our cozy reading nook also got a colorful makeover with fun, comfy floor cushions—perfect for curling up with a good book. Things are happening at the building site for the new North Callaway Elementary School building! Construction Progress Since March, much of the work has focused on site preparation and utility installation for the new building. We’re thrilled to share that concrete is being poured today for the K-2 wing! Because this is a pre-engineered metal building, construction will move forward in sections. The K-2 wing at the front of the building comes first, followed by the administrative wing and the Thunderbird Learning Center. We anticipate seeing major progress throughout June and July! Upcoming Improvements Beginning Tuesday, May 29, Coil Construction will start grading for a brand-new high school parking lot. This gravel lot will offer daily parking for students and staff, as well as convenient access for football games, track meets, and other large school events. Looking Ahead We expect the new parking lot to be ready by the start of school in August. In the meantime, we’re working closely with vendors to select playground equipment, order new furniture, and enhance school safety with updated cameras and a modern intercom system.
